Our Total attendance for 2012 was 192 Paid: 170 (136 Full Convention plus 34 Dinner Only) Dinner paid and 22 Paid Non-Dinner.

 

Great Success - we exceeded our initial goal of 160.

General Information

NCDXA has been an active DX organization since 1972. Based on our past positive experiences with DXPO conferences from 1974 through 1992, we are excited to announce our new DXCC-EAST Convention for Saturday, August 25, 2012. It is our goal to make this an annual event here on the east coast of the United States.

The DXCC-EAST Convention will include presentations by well known DXers and principles that are knowledge of the DX community including participation by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL).

Other Saturday agenda scheduled activities included are:

  • VE Exams – 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM –Schedule in Advance (secretary@ncdxa.org)/Walk-Ins Welcome, $15.00 ARRL VEC Charge, Executive Board Room just outside convention area. ARRL VE Team Liaison is David Collingham (K3LP)
  • Portable Radio Operation: IC-746 PRO HF Station and 2 Meter: N3C Call Sign, Talk-In 146.480 Mhz. Simplex
  • QSL Card Checking; DXCC and other ARRL Awards: NCDXA Vendor Table # 6 & 7
  • Vendor Tables: Francis Scott Key Convention area combined rooms C, D, E & F, Tables 1 thru 29

Friday, August 24, 2012, Early Arrival - 6:00 PM-1:00 AM Hotel Bar (Casey's Lounge)

Frederick County Maryland is central to many exciting places to visit before and after the convention. Make the convention visit a tradition. Combine your trip with a Baltimore Orioles (Toronto Blue Jays in town Aug. 24-26, 2012) baseball game, visit the Inner Harbor, ESPN Center or Aquarium, historic district area or take a trip to Washington DC. There will be lots of fun for the whole family.
